Impressing Your Lovers with Words (and Jackbox Games)

What’s in a game? Our foes in any other game are still our bros all the same. Why must we compete when collaboration is just as sweet?

This love season we’re taking off our battle armor and taking a look at the more cooperative Jackbox titles. Last year, we looked at the best Jackbox games for couples. This year, we’ll be taking a look at three collaborative word-based games because communication in a relationship is so important.

  1. Word Spud

We’re throwing it back to a classic. Our first love. Word Spud. This one can be played with two players, and it’s an excellent word association test. What’s the first thing that comes to mind when I say “Love”? If you answered “Hurts”, we may not be compatible. Find it in The Jackbox Party Pack!

  1. Blather ‘Round

Yep, we’re jumping straight from a throwback to our most recent obsession. Don’t let the points fool you —-- Blather ‘Round is all about collaboration. Here, you and your vValentines will be challenged to guess which person, place, story, or thing is being described while operating on very little information. Keep guessing to decode the clues! Blather ‘Round is also good for two players! Find it in The Jackbox Party Pack 7!

  1. Dictionarium

Rounding out our list is Dictionarium, found in The Jackbox Party Pack 6. You’ll need a third wheel for this game, but together you can develop your own love language. Create wacky words and definitions and use them to confuse anyone outside of your throuple.
